In the mid 1980’s, while working as a waitress and bartender in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area, I did some freelance writing and photography for this bi-monthly, direct mail publication.  It is nothing short of amazing that I have dragged these newspapers around for so long in such a transient journey, but viola!  I cleaned up the copies as best I could.  The Pennysaver changed it’s name to Suburban Focus shortly after I arrived.
